NJ the Galapagos Tortoise hatchling turns one
My how time flies! It is hard to believe that just one year ago NJ the Galapagos Tortoise hatchling created history when it hatched and became the first Galapagos Tortoise hatchling in Australasia. Since then NJ has been growing rapidly and now weighs 204.9grams which is well over double its birth weight. To celebrate this special birthday keepers created a tiny cup cake that included alfalfa, silver beet, corn and pumpkin on the top just like icing. NJ definitely acted his age when he saw the special cake and went straight for the pumpkin and corn decorations on the top before devouring the rest!NJ's birthday surprise
