Ever had an idea that could change the world?
As a leader in conservation, Taronga works to educate, encourage and empower people to act for the wild and create positive outcomes for wildlife and the environment.
Every two years, Taronga awards up to $50,000 in grant money for innovative conservation ideas, designs and inventions that will inspire and empower communities to help secure a sustainable future for our planet. These are known as the Taronga Green Grants.
Conservation champions from anywhere in Australia can apply for a Taronga Green Grant. We don’t just want you to just have the idea; we want to help you put it into action!

The world is dealing with an unprecedented spike in illegal wildlife trade. It is the greatest direct threat to the future of some of the planet’s most iconic species including rhinos, elephants, tigers, pangolins and many more.
The Wildlife Witness app empowers you to report illegal wildlife trade. Your reports enter a database that is used by a Wildlife Crime Analyst to collate information and identify trends, and enforcement agencies are informed so that action can be taken.
