Wild Herds
The Wild Herds exhibit offers guests a truly immersive experience with a deer walkthrough and a beautiful outlook to the Zoo’s Takhi herd from a replica Mongolian village.
Wild Herds is home to two species – Takhi (a Mongolian horse also known as Przewalski’s Horse) and Fallow Deer. The exhibit also highlights the Zoo’s role in helping bring the Takhi back from the brink of extinction.

Takhi

Known as Takhi (meaning 'spirit' or 'spiritual') these graceful equids are the only wild horses left in the world, originally native to the steppes of Central Asia.

Fallow Deer
