We're working towards a positive future for wildlife and this means that sometimes there could be closures or works ongoing that may impact your experience. We understand there is never a good time to build a better Zoo, however the work we are investing in is to improve our animal habitats and deliver experiences that influence positive behaviour change to support the future of our wildlife.
- Waterplay area at the Waterhole precinct - will be closed from every Thursday for maintenance
- Cheetah exhibit (near Galapagos Tortoise) - will be temporarily closed from 25 February for two weeks whilst animal movements take place.
- White Handed Gibbon - currently our White-handed Gibbon pair are off display whilst one receives veterinary treatment.
Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo has officially reopened and we're excited to welcome guests backs, however, to ensure guest and staff safety, the experience has slightly changed. Find out more about how we're keeping you safe and what changes this involves.
