You’re invited to Taronga’s FREE Teach Meet.

Enjoy a complimentary day at the Zoo and participate in our brand-new, curriculum-linked education programs spanning Early Stage 1 through to Stage 6.

Thursday 9 October 2025 at at Taronga Zoo Sydney or Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.

Sydney Teach Meet

Taronga Education invites teachers and their colleagues to a special Teach Meet at Taronga. Enjoy a complimentary day at the Zoo while exploring our new curriculum-aligned lessons, designed to support teaching from Early Stage 1 through to Stage 6. 

Throughout the day, teachers will experience practical, immersive learning opportunities that connect with the new Science, HSIE, and Geography syllabuses. Each session is led by the Taronga Education team and showcases innovative ways to bring the curriculum to life.

  • All attendees must present their NESA accreditation on the day.

What's Included:

  • Access to Taronga Zoo for the day for teachers

Registration for curriculum-linked lessons is recommended. Spaces are limited for each session, so grab your spot early via the above 'Register for lessons' link. 

These sessions will run from 10.30am - 2.00pm on the day. 

Dubbo Teacher Event

Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s Education Team, in partnership with the Science Teachers’ Association of NSW (STANSW), invites Central West and Orana region teachers to a day of professional development, networking, and zoo adventures on Thursday 9 October 2025.

This special event is a chance to connect with colleagues from across the region, share ideas on science education, and explore opportunities for regional schools, including the Young Scientist Program.

What’s included

Access to Taronga Western Plains Zoo for the day (FREE family zoo entry for 2 adults, 2 children aged 0-16)

Tour of the educational spaces and primary or secondary professional development workshop

Meet the Taronga Education and team STANSW team
