Episode overview
Episode 7: Mr Hobbs
Taronga Zoo’s Wildlife Hospital regularly sees its fair share of injured wildlife. In tonight's episode, the arrival of three injured birds leaves the team in a bit of a flap - and Senior Vet Larry is particularly worried about a Barn Owl that has serious head injuries after being hit by a car. It’s an emotional day for everyone at Taronga, as staff say a final goodbye to one of their most loved family members, Sun Bear, Mr Hobbs.
In a bid to increase critically endangered Tree Kangaroo populations around the world, Taronga’s keepers are doing their bit as they welcome a new breeding male Makali to the zoo. But will he and Taronga’s female Kwikila hit it off?
And out at Taronga’s Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, it’s feeding time for the strangest pack of dogs you’ll ever see.
Air date: Friday 2nd of December at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.

Episode update
This week’s instalment of Who's Who in the Zoo touched us all deeply; with the passing of our beloved sun bear Mr Hobbs and the introduction of our new tree kangaroo joey Taro.
Well, just look at Taro now, and look at how much he has grown! At just over 2 and half years old now, in September he embarked on his biggest journey to his new home at Gumbaya World where he has delighted guests and keepers ever since his arrival. Make sure you check out this incredible species for yourself on your next visit to the zoo. Taronga's Tree Kangaroo exhibit is located at map reference 7L just next to the Top Retail store.
