Make a difference

Taronga welcomes and encourages support from individuals, trusts, family and corporate foundations and Private Ancillary Funds, and has a wide range of projects and programs seeking funding.

Your wildlife legacy

Imagine a shared future, where wildlife and people don't just live together, they thrive together.

With the support of our philanthropic donors we can breed threatened species, carry on our vital scientific research and support conservation programs across the globe.

Our donors are an integral part of the life of our two Zoos; we recognise that many of our projects and programs would be unable to continue without such generous support. Because of this, we work with each donor to tailor our recognition programs to meet their individual needs.

Your gift can leave a legacy of protection for countless species and ensure a bright future for native species and have an impact for generations to come.

How you can help

Habitat Positive

Support transformational conservation through Taronga’s large-scale landscape restoration initiative aimed at rewilding critically endangered Box Gum Woodlands in Northern New South Wales to protect threatened species and restore biodiversity. In phase one, Taronga is returning over 3,000 hectares of remnant land to usable habitat for Australia’s iconic species.

Leave a legacy for Australian wildlife. This is our biggest step towards safeguarding native wildlife ensuring Taronga’s third site is dedicated to rewilding and protected in perpetuity.

Women for Wildlife

At Taronga, we believe in the power of community and the strength of people acting towards a common goal.

That’s why we’ve created Women for Wildlife, a special network of like-minded women to leverage the power that collective giving can have to tap into the power in compassion and connection.

Our conservation programs

Taronga undertakes over 40 conservation programs. From breed to release to habitat recovery, Taronga is working to preserve, protect and sustain wildlife in their natural habitats. Help support these vital ongoing conservation initiatives.

Donors may be acknowledged across a variety of spaces or remain anonymous if they wish. All donations of $2 or more are fully tax deductible for Australian residents. Taronga is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient, item 1 and item 4.
