An overnight Zoofari Lodge stay at Taronga Western Plains Zoo has been kid-approved making the Wotif Aussie Kids Bucket List. This is a definitive list of 13 of the dream Aussie travel experiences to do before turning 13, as decided by Aussie Kids*.
“It is really exciting that an overnight stay at Zoofari Lodge has been voted by Aussie Kids and made the top 13 experiences kids dream about doing in Australia,” said Taronga Western Plains Zoo Director, Steve Hinks.
“To be voted as one of the top 13 travel experiences in Australia alongside destinations such as the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru and Ningaloo Reef is a rewarding acknowledgement of the wonderful and inspiring visitor experiences our team delivers,” said Steve.
Zoofari Lodge is an award-winning accommodation experience having previously won Best Unique Accommodation at the Australian Tourism Awards, and now adds the Wotif Aussie Kids Bucket List to its list of accolades.
“We already knew that an overnight stay at Zoofari Lodge is a very special experience that provides lasting holiday memories for families, but this accolade just reaffirms that members of the general public, especially kids, think so to,” said Steve.
Zoofari Lodge has been experiencing record visitation levels over the past 12 months as a result of the regional tourism boom which has seen the occupancy at over 97% during this time.
“The increase in regional tourism has greatly benefited the local economy whilst securing Dubbo as the number one family destination in New South Wales,” said Steve.
Zoofari Lodge offers a slice of Africa right here in our own backyard. Zoofari lodge is positioned beside the African Savannah where Giraffe, White Rhino, Zebra and antelope roam. It’s an African-style experience that is inclusive of one night’s accommodation in a unique lodge, dinner and breakfast as well as guided behind-the-scene tours, zoo admission and bike hire.
“At a time when international travel is off the cards, it is a great opportunity to explore the world class destinations we have on offer here in Australia and this Aussie Kids Bucket List provides plenty of travel inspiration,” said Steve.
