Zoo Statement

Taronga Western Plains Zoo has no intention or knowledge of speculation regarding the possible sale of the region’s premier tourist attraction.


Taronga Western Plains Zoo and the Taronga Conservation Society Australia are dedicated to the management and operation of both Zoos, which are owned by the NSW State Government.   


We proudly Acknowledge the Cammeraigal (Taronga Zoo, Sydney) and Wiradjuri (Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo) people, their Country, spirit and traditions as customary owners of the lands upon which our Zoos stand.
