Looking after Taronga’s gorillas keeps the primate team busy and always looking for new ideas to challenge them.  With Easter just around the corner, it was a great opportunity for keepers to get creative and bring a little fun into the gorillas Environmental Enrichment program with an Easter theme.Keepers and volunteers from our Behaviour Studies Unit got to work making lots of iceblocks that were in the shape of eggs.  The eggs were made out of herbal tea, pureed carrot and honey water.  The keepers also cooked some rolled oats and made them into Eggs with vegetable puree.Keepers Renae and Lisa had fun setting up both exhibits with all the treats making nests out of Lucerne and branches for the eggs.  The gorillas came out onto exhibit and certainly had fun in their Easter iceblock egg hunt, collecting all the eggs around the exhibit. Pretty soon, there were some very full bellies after all had been eaten...HAPPY EASTER....Gorilla Keeper, Lisa
