Go wild at the Zoo’s Wild Day Out!

Taronga Western Plains Zoo invites everyone to celebrate the opening of the Zoo’s new open access Visitor Plaza at a FREE Wild Day Out community event on Sunday 28 November 2010 from 11am – 3pm.


The Wild Day Out is a free event that will feature plenty of entertainment including the very popular children’s act, ‘Wild Aussies’. ‘Wild Aussies’ is an exciting and exhilarating show that features animal characters such as Roxie the Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby and Miles the Frilled-neck Lizard who both sing and dance.


The ‘Wild Aussies’ children’s show features a cavalcade of original Aussie songs that will have audiences tapping their feet to these captivating tunes.


There’s plenty of other free activities for kids too including face painting, a jumping castle, animal encounters and Prime Possum will make a guest appearance on the day.


Acoustic duo Matt Boylan-Smith will also play on the terrace overlooking the Savannah Lake where parents can enjoy lunch or a coffee at the new-look Bakhita’s Café while the kids explore the new open access Visitor Plaza.


The Wild Day Out is set to be a great event so bring the family or your friends and head out to the Zoo for some great entertainment and lots of fun for all.
