Porntip and Pak Boon took a walk around the elephant paddock this morning with us Keepers. We were quite surprised as the calf decided to be the leader, rather than following alongside mum. He was right out in front of them and was pretty confident. The elephant calf had his first proper swim in the bottom waterfall. He ventured right out into the shallow water with mother Porntip and aunt Pak Boon.The two girls were mindful of the calf in the water, but let him do his own thing. His feet left the ground and he paddled around and did a few laps around his mother.
