Do you like my new bracelet? It's all part of the Beads for Wildlife - Community Relief Campaign that is running. It's so cool - you can buy traditional African bead work bracelets, necklaces and key rings, all the way from Northern Kenya and all the proceeds go to the Northern Rangelands Trust. I love mine, I already have 3 others at home. The Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) is a community-led conservation initiative whose members depend largely on livestock for their livelihoods. The NRT is working to develop alternative incomes for these communities and an obvious choice is the stunning beadwork traditionally made and worn by the region’s women.
