Upgrade in 3 simple steps
Upgrading is as simple as one, two, three!
Step 1: Check your inbox to find an email from us then click on the upgrade link
Step 2: Confirm the type of membership you would like, including how many, then fill out your membership details
Step 3: Simply pay the updated amount to unlock 365 days of zoo adventures, and savings!
Don’t worry if you haven’t received an email, you can still upgrade. All you need to do is click the upgrade button below and enter in your ticket receipt number and your last name. This will bring up your information for you to confirm your membership details and pay the updated membership amount.

How long do I have to upgrade my day ticket to a membership after my visit?
You can upgrade your day ticket to a Zoo Friends membership up to 31 days after your visit.
What happens if I want to upgrade my ticket but I visited longer than 31 days ago?
Unfortunately, the value of your day ticket would not be eligible to use against your membership. You can still become a Zoo Friend by clicking JOIN at the top of this page.
I bought tickets for myself and my friends. Can we use that one receipt number to upgrade to a membership each?
Yes you can. All you need to do is share the receipt number with your friends and advise them to enter that and your last name via the upgrade link on this page. Our system will then draw down on the value of your ticket purchase for each membership.
I received a ticket as a gift voucher. Can I use that to upgrade to a membership?
Yes you can. You can head to the Zoo Friends office at Taronga Zoo Sydney and they can upgrade this for you there.
I bought a ‘$1 on your birthday’ ticket. Can I use that to upgrade to a membership?
That ticket type is not eligible to be used to upgrade to a membership. You can still become a Zoo Friend by clicking JOIN at the top of this page.
