Taronga is committed to applying a Sustainable and Ethical Procurement Framework to all purchasing decisions. The Framework aligns with the Sustainable Procurement Guidance ISO 20400:2018 and the NSW Procurement Policy Framework.
Through the Framework, we aim to make responsible and sustainable purchasing decisions across goods, services, and construction, while ensuring best value for money in our supplier arrangements. Taronga recognises the important role we play in driving more responsible practices and influencing ethical decision-making within our immediate and extended supply chain.

Taronga has a strong stance on environmental sustainability, animal welfare and conservation associated with food products it sells and serves at its various food outlets, functions and events.

Ethical poultry
We only source RSCPA certified chicken and free range eggs.
Sustainable palm oil
We’re working with our suppliers to achieve full sourcing transparency and ensure all branded products use 100% Certified Sustainable Palm Oil.
Local & seasonal sourcing
We work closely with our food suppliers and our catering partner, Trippas White Group, to ensure our food products are locally sourced and seasonal wherever possible.
