Supporting vital conservation projects around the world

Taronga’s Field Conservation Grants provide vital funding and expert support to conservation projects making a real difference for wildlife, habitats and communities around the globe.

Grant support for conservation initiatives

Open to NGOs, community groups, and individuals, the field grants support both new and established conservation initiatives that would benefit from financial backing and specialist guidance. Every two years, Taronga invests $200,000 in outstanding on-ground conservation programs, with individual grants of up to $20,000 awarded to the most impactful projects.

Since the program began in 2008, Taronga has invested more than $1.3 million in 118 projects across the world, supporting the work of 85 organisations. Grant recipients have helped restore and protect critical habitats, combat wildlife poaching and trafficking, and reduce conflict between people and the wildlife they live alongside.
