About Rubbish Run

The Taronga Rubbish Run is a week long challenge where you to pick up rubbish whilst exercising. Picking up litter whilst exercising is a new fitness craze called plogging!

We’re asking you to get out there, get active, and get plogging for one week in MAY to support wildlife. It’s super fun and super easy. Get your friends and family involved by joining you in your plogging efforts or supporting you with a donation.

The funds you raise will contribute to the ongoing, critical work of Taronga Wildlife Hospitals in Sydney and Dubbo – helping in the treatment of sick, injured and endangered wildlife.

Make an Impact

Sadly, litter and rubbish pollution are damaging our natural environment, with litter directly harming some of our most iconic wildlife including the Marine Turtle and the Platypus. Taronga is committed to reversing these trends and securing a shared future for people and wildlife.

The funds you raise during the Taronga Rubbish Run challenge will enable Taronga to carry out vital conservation work to save and protect endangered Aussie wildlife from extinction.
