Taronga Christmas gifts for family, friends and For The Wild

Taronga Zoo is a great place to start your Christmas shopping and help wildlife at the same time.

The Taronga Zoo Shop is in the Zoo’s Main Entrance plaza. It features a broad range of gifts from Taronga’s own merchandise collection of toys, clothes and souvenirs to handbags, jewellery and books sourced from other companies who share Taronga’s focus on conservation.

Cushionopoly cushions, Australian-made and designed exclusively for Taronga are the latest hot items flying off the shelves. The cushions, featuring bright and stylish animal designs, are made of 100% cotton and much like Taronga’s current Wild! Rhinos campaign, they are another example of animals featuring in modern day art. The diversity of the collection means they can work in many rooms of the house, including children’s bedrooms and living areas.

Put a touch of royal flavour into your Christmas gift with the same Australian brand of swaddle worn by Prince George, son of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. The Zoo has an affiliation with the newborn royal after a Taronga Bilby sponsorship was part of a number of gifts given to the Royal Family by Australia.

There’s an abundance of fun and educational toys for the kids, including the CollectA boxed set of five high quality animal replicas, exclusive in NSW to Taronga Zoo. In amongst the extensive collection of plush toy animals, Elka Australia has designed four brightly coloured owls, perfect to put in the cot with little ones or as a cute gift for an owl-lover.

Taronga’s Shop has a Games Corner where children can play around with puzzles and activities, while you shop. And if they’re enjoying themselves, you can sneak one of the Elka Wooden Puzzles to the counter to add to their Christmas stocking.

Care is taken by Taronga Zoo to source products with minimal packaging and as a not-for-profit organisation, all of Taronga’s sales go straight back to support the Zoo’s work.

Shoppers can visit Taronga’s Shop without paying Zoo admission and you can even follow your shopping trip with a coffee at Taronga Piazza, the cafe just next door.

If Taronga Zoo is a little too far for a shopping trip, most of the Shop’s merchandise can be found online at https://taronga.org.au/shop
