Keepers at Taronga Western Plains Zoo have been selling Tiger themed calendars across the latter half of 2010 to help raise funds for programs that assist Tigers in the wild.

The calendars featured four of the Zoo Sumatran Tigers and were a popular item.  Through the sale of Tiger calendars, keepers were able to raise almost $9000 for 21st Century Tiger.  Taronga Western Plains Zoo has been awarded a gold award for their fundraising efforts.

The money raised will assist 21st Century Tiger fund wild tiger conservation programs.  In 2010, 21st Century Tiger were able to fund eight projects helping give wild tigers a future all thanks to the financial support they have received.
