Lace Monitor heads back into the wild

TWPZ Wildlife Hospital A Lace Monitor that was brought into the Taronga Western Plains Zoo Wildlife Hospital in late 2009 after being hit by a car has received his final check up and been released back into the wild. The Lace Monitor had been recovering in the Wildlife Hospital over the past two months, after having sustained a broken jaw.  He has made a remarkable recovery whilst in the care of vets and vet nurses and is sure to be happy back in the wild now that he is at full strength once again.
