Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s staff are going for a roll on the bowling greens to raise funds for conservation programs for the critically endangered Tenkile or Scott’s Tree Kangaroo.

The Tenkile is native to Papua New Guinea and is critically endangered, with few surviving human encroachment and hunting.

The fundraising night will involve lawn bowling and an auction where people dig deep and give generously to this cause.  Money raised will go to the Australasian Society of Zoo Keeping (ASZK) which then provides funding to key conservation programs to help the Tenkile.

If you are interested in entering a team or coming along to the night contact Rebecca Jones on rjones@zoo.nsw.gov.au.
