During this magical evening, you will go on an immersive journey through the grounds of Taronga, come eye to eye with animals over cocktails and canapés and meet Taronga’s team of experts in conservation and science. An exceptional three-course dinner will be served in the spectacular Zoofari Gala Marquee with views directly over Sydney's Harbour and skyline.

Zoofari Gala is Taronga’s major annual fundraiser. Over the past 20 plus years, this spectacular event has raised over $8,000,000 to ensure Taronga can continue to save wildlife through expertise in science, wildlife conservation, education and inspiring people to connect with wildlife.

A committee member for 12 years, I’m excited to be this year’s chair of the 2025 Zoofari Gala. The gala ensures that Taronga continues to invest in conservation, education and wildlife advocacy all whilst having an amazing evening of eating, drinking and dancing!
With 25 years of PR expertise spanning three global cities, Ant's passion for Australian nature deepened during his time abroad. Now home in Sydney, he's driving awareness for Taronga Zoo's impactful wildlife conservation efforts.
Ali Smyth is a respected communications leader and cultural strategist with 20 years of experience across media, music, fashion, events, hospitality, and the arts. In 2014, she founded Electric Collective - a creative communications agency that reflects her deep love of fashion, culture, lifestyle, people and ideas. Ali has built a career around instinct, generosity and integrity, earning a reputation as the outsiders’ insider - someone who creates space for both legacy brands and brave new thinkers to connect with culture in meaningful ways.
I am a proud long-serving Zoofari Gala committee member. The gala is a place where conservation meets fun. Taronga is more than a zoo, it also is a leader in conservation and sustainability.
I joined Taronga Zoo as a Guest Services Volunteer 12 years ago and have a background in Travel and Tourism. I'm doing my little bit to help raise funds for Taronga's incredible conservation efforts.
