Note: Waterhole Cafe closed 25 and 26 May due to unforeseen circumstances. Precinct is still accessible for waterplay and Meerkat viewing.

- Located half way around the Zoo circuit, it’s the perfect spot for a pit stop!
- Open 10am - 2pm daily (10am - 4pm during NSW school holidays)
What to expect
The Zoo’s new Waterhole precinct is located halfway round the Zoo circuit. Home to a stunning outdoor café overlooking animals such as Barbary Sheep, Blackbuck and Addax, The waterhole is sure to be a popular stop during your Zoo adventure!
Order a coffee, lunch or tasty treat from the café and enjoy next to our beautiful Meerkat and Tortoise habitats. The kids will love the interactive Meerkat tunnel and pop up window bringing them eye to eye with the busy Meerkat mob.
They’ll also love the love the water play area featuring animal sculptures and automated water jets.
The Waterhole is a must do on your visit to Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
