About
The Serengeti Resort will deliver diverse, family-friendly accommodation around a resort hub, including a 300 seat function and events centre, 170 seat café restaurant and infinity edge, resort style lagoon swimming pool.
It will overlook a huge open grassland five times the size of the Zoo’s existing African Savannah habitat, that will be home to roaming herds of African wildlife such as giraffe, rhinos and antelope.
With its scale, ambition and family-focused design, this development is set to elevate Taronga Western Plains Zoo to the number one family holiday destination in Australia.
Construction is expected to take 12 months, with an official opening in the second half of 2026.
