Taronga Western Plains Zoo has been announced as a finalist in two categories, Tourist Attraction and Unique Accommodation, 2015 NSW Tourism Awards.

The Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success throughout the year.

“We are very excited to be nominated for best Tourism Attraction and Unique Accommodation,” said Taronga Western Plains Zoo Director Matthew Fuller.

“We are constantly looking at ways to improve the Zoo and ensure it is recognised as the best regional tourism destination in Australia. We encourage anyone who hasn’t been out to the Zoo recently to come and see what’s new and how the Zoo is evolving.”

This is the fifth consecutive year the Zoo has been a finalist in the NSW Tourism Awards, last year taking out both Tourist Attraction and Unique Accommodation categories. The winners will be announced at an awards presentation and gala celebration on November 26th 2015.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo is also in the running for the People’s Choice Award which recognises the winner of an online poll. The finalist with the highest number of votes by the public will be announced as the 2015 People's Choice Award winner at the 2015 NSW Tourism Awards Presentation and Gala Celebration.
