Artists from our ZOO AiR residency, past and present, have been keeping busy with exhibitions and art prize entries, which often include zoo inspired works.

In other news, Michael Kempson (2011) curated an exhibition of Australian and Chinese prints at the Manly Regional Gallery which included several of Chinas most highly regarded artists. A small delegation of Chinese artists visited Sydney and spent a morning at Taronga Zoo, meeting some of our local animals.
John Olsen AO OBE (2011) along with Luke Sciberras and Guy Maestri (2009), have been flying over Lake Eyre producing landscape inspired artworks. Several of Olsen’s works were exhibited at the Hong Kong International Art Fair, his first overseas exhibition in about 50 years.
