Taronga Artist in Residence ‘ZOO AiR’ Art Auction
Sunday 21 August at 2pm
Byron Kennedy Hall, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park
Earlier this year, 20 renowned contemporary Australian artists made Taronga their second home for three months. They have now packed up their sketchbooks and easels and submitted their final artworks. The paintings, photographs and sculptures have been donated to the Taronga Foundation and will be auctioned by Bonhams Australia on Sunday 21 August, with all proceeds supporting our vital conservation work. Please join us on Sunday.
Zoo AiR 2011 Sydney Viewing
Donated works will be open to the public for viewing on Friday 19 August and Saturday 20 August from 10am to 5pm at the Byron Kennedy Hall before being auctioned by Bonhams auctioneer James Hendy Sunday 21August at 2.00pm (viewing from 10am). One hundred percent of the proceeds will support Taronga’s conservation programs for endangered animals.
The Taronga Foundation gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the artists for donating their time and talents so readily. We are also indebted to Crofts Studios, The University Gallery in Newcastle and Bonhams Australia – all of which are providing their services free of charge in support of our conservation endeavours.
