Viktor the Przewalski’s Horse stallion has received an early Valentine’s Day gift with two females being introduced to him in his off display paddock. Viktor arrived at Taronga Western Plains Zoo from Monarto Zoo in South Australia in 2008 to increase the genetic diversity in the Zoo’s population. Since arriving in 2008, Viktor has already sired his first foal, Bataar who was born in January this year.  It is hoped that love is in the air for him and one or possibly both of his new companions so that later this year there is a young foal running around the exhibit.
